Frequently Asked Questions

What is OptiCoach?

OptiCoach is a coaching management platform for baseball and softball teams. It brings practice plans, rosters, depth charts, lineups, schedules, stats, budgets, files, and staff communication into one organized workspace—helping coaches manage the work behind their programs.

Who is OptiCoach built for?

OptiCoach is built for baseball and softball coaches who want a more organized way to run their teams. Our current pilot focuses on high school and travel coaches, including head coaches and assistants managing preparation, player roles, and everyday team responsibilities.

Can I use OptiCoach on my phone or laptop?

Yes. OptiCoach is a mobile-friendly web platform that you can access through your phone’s or computer’s browser. There is no app-store download required, so you can access your team’s information at your desk or on the go.

Can my assistant coaches use OptiCoach with me?

Yes. You can invite assistant coaches to your team so your staff can access shared information and coordinate their work. Practice plans, schedules, player roles, and staff communication can stay together rather than being scattered across separate documents and conversations.

Do I have to replace the tools I already use?

No. You can use OptiCoach alongside your existing tools and start with the areas where you need the most help, such as practice planning or depth-chart organization. You do not need to move every part of your team’s workflow at once.

How does the free pilot work?

We’re recruiting 10–15 coaches to use OptiCoach with their teams during a free pilot running from January through May 2027. Participating coaches receive access to the platform in exchange for real-world use and honest feedback that helps us improve it.

What is expected of pilot coaches?

We ask you to use OptiCoach as part of your team’s routine and participate in feedback conversations about your experience. Tell us what is useful, what is confusing, and what could work better. We’re looking for candid feedback—not a commitment to write a positive review or promote the platform.
